Aw man

I am disappointed. Why does the snow have to come today? Why not tomorrow, or the next day? Danielle and I were going to go to the New Years Dance tonight, but it's snowing, and the roads aren't in the best condition, so she isn't coming over. I've never been the type to go to a dance by myself, so it's going to be playing games tonight for me lol. Damn snow.

I hate it. 2 minutes after my dad died everyone switched over from "is" to "was". I hate that. I know that it's grammatically correct, and everyone is being nice and talking about good things, but that just concretes it. I know I shouldn't be bitching about something so trivial, but at least it's out of my system.

My dad died today. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Don't really feel like posting many details.

Birthday Wishes...

We have been having a blast over here at Denise's. Teala and I just got finished at the new coffee shop and computer place that opened here in Seneca. We bought some jellybeans. Caramel apple, buttered popcorn, and strawberry cheesecake MMMMMM. The lady doesn't know very many people in Seneca, but she seemed very very nice. I'm looking at the business card she gave me and it is called Bishop Media. The ladys name is Genevieve. OMG I love that name. I've been saying I wanted to name the kid I'm never going to have that.

We've been playing Canasta, Life, Hillbilly Rummy, and Super Mario Brothers 3. Taking pictures out the wazoo. And, I put some blonde streaks in my hair. Half the people I have showed my hair to have commented that it is "different". And half those people I know meant it in the "different-but-I-think-it-looks-like-shit-" type of different. That's ok. I like it.

We are going to go play bingo for my birthday tomorrow. We as in my mom, dad, Denise, Teala, and I. It would be nice to win, but I probably won't.

Connor Michael Dixon

I really hope I'm getting the spelling right. It's either Conner or Connor. Dunno which one. Anyways... She had him around 10:30 this morning. Cass called me and told me. I haven't been to see her, but I called and she was breastfeeding. Heh, better her than me. I know that she will make a really good mother though, so I'm happy she had a baby.

Yay!

Holly is going to the hospital tomorrow so they can induce labor on her! Since mom and I have been sick, we aren't going to the hospital tomorrow, we will wait until Holly gets home and settled in. Yay!

Blah

I don't know where I got it, but I spent yesterday from about 2:30pm to 1:00 today sleeping off and on. I also puked several times, and had diarhea. I feel better today, but I am just wondering where I got it from.

This little piggy...

My obsession: toe socks. I absolutely hate feet, but love socks. Odd, isnt it? Also, here is the little purse that I took into my possession out of mom's jean purses. We have a few with ties. I learned how to tie a tie just for the purses. I think they are too cute!

Because Annette Told Me To...

Attach a photo of one of your current holiday displays: This is my very first Christmas tree. All of the ornaments are mine, one of them I got, the others were given to me by Denise and my mom. The tree isn't green, but black. I saw it at the mission and thought: 'Well, there are white christmas trees, why not a black one?'.

1. Egg Nog, Mulled Cider, or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? Wraps them

3. Do you decorate the outside of your home with lights? Any other displays? We did once, on the tree in front, forgot about them, left them out on the tree for about 2 years, and had SOO much fun untangling them.

4. Poinsettias, Holly or Mistletoe? poinsettias

5. When do you put up your decorations? Don't really have a set time

6. Do you prefer to give or receive? Well, there was only one year that I was able to go out and actually buy gifts, but I loved going out and shopping for everyone. I won't deny I like getting gifts too...

7. Cut tree, live tree, artificial tree, or Festivus pole? Don't know what a cut tree is, Never had a live tree before, Artificials are sometimes fun to put up, and What in the world is a Festivus pole??

8. Have you ever made a gingerbread house? Yes, on Thanksgiving this year with Denise, Cindy, Danielle, and Elishia...We had green icing, lol... I don't know what was the harder job. Keeping Cindy and Elishia from eating the candy, or keeping MYSELF and Elishia from piggin out on the frosting.

9.Do you display a nativity scene? No..

10.When did you learn the truth about Santa? Probably around 6 or 7

11. Snow! Love it or dread it? I love snow when it is outside and I am inside and warm. Also, I have never really been sledding, so I'd like to do that sometime.

12. Can you ice skate? I have never had the chance to try.

13. Do you open your gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning? Christmas eve

14. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you? Spending time with family and friends.

15. What is your favorite holiday cookie? Do you bake them or buy them? Sugar cookies you bake when you are young... when your mom rolls out the dough and you use cookie cutters to cut the shapes out and watch them bake and put soo much frosting on them and it really looks like a kid made them and not a baker but tastes soo good

16. What tops your tree? Sometimes we used angels, sometimes we used stars. Right now I don't have anything on my tree.

17. What is your favorite Christmas song? I love the song Carol of the Bells, but my all time favorite song is:
All I Want For Christmas Is You by Vince Vance and the Valiants.
Take back the holly and mistletoe
Silver bells on string
If I wrote a letter to Santa Claus
I would ask for just one thing
I don't need sleigh rides in the snow
Don't want a Christmas that's blue
Take back the tinsel, stockings, and bows
'Cuz all I want for Christmas is you
I don't need expensive things
They don't matter to me
All that I want, can't be found
Underneath the Christmas tree
You are the angel atop my tree
You are my dream come true
Santa can't bring me what I need
'Cuz all I want for Christmas is you
I don't need expensive things
They don't matter to me
All that I want, can't be found
Underneath the Christmas tree
You are the angel atop my tree
You are my dream come true (dream come true)
Santa can't bring me what I need
'Cuz all I want for Christmas is you
'Cuz all I want for Christmas is you
'Cuz all I want for Christmas is you

18. What is your favorite Christmas movie or story? I like the movie "The Year Without a Santa Claus", mainly because of the Snow Miser and Heat Miser. I just loved their songs.

19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? If Yum, how do you eat them? Yummy! I start out on the bottom of the stick and suck on it until its pointy and almost dangerous, then I start biting off pieces until I have the hook left. Then I stick the whole thing in my mouth. ****This is the EXACT way I eat my candy canes!!!****

20. Do you send Christmas cards? If yes, do you enclose a letter or picture? No, I haven't gotten into that tradition

21. What kind of lights do you decorate your Christmas tree with? White lights, or another solid color, multi colored, candles, or a novelty light such as bubble lights? I like the lights that are multicolored, but if it has a ton of lights on it in the right combination of blinking, steady, and fading lights, I could fall asleep under the Christmas tree

22. Favorite Christmas memory as a child? When Mike brought a girlfriend over who had a kid and she brought her kid a bunch of presents and didn't get me any (not Mike's fault in any way) and Cindy heard about it all the way in Lincoln and she came to the rescue with the best gifts in the world: My first Easy Bake Oven, and a Bicyclin Barbie who had a bike and everything. Blew that girls Dentist Barbie right out of the water.

23. Best present that you have received? I'm still voting on the Easy Bake oven. Or the 6 Disc Cd Player my mom got me a few years ago.

24.Turkey, Ham, Seafood, or Soup for your holiday dinner? For our small family dinner its turkey. For the big dinner there is a variety including ham, turkey, and once there was Beaver....

25.Describe your favorite Christmas ornament. My favorite ornament always has been (and always will be) an ornament that would freak out every cat in the house. We had a silver ball ornament that you plug in, and it would chirp like a bird. Denise and I would sit by the tree and wait for the cat to pass by and plug that sucker in, and sometimes the cat would end up climbing up the tree to find the bird. Denise, you will have to fight me to the death for that ornament.

Homework

Well, there hasnt really been much going on lately. And there is nothing more depressing than seeing your own blog with the words "I did nothing today" 3o times in a row. So, Annette gave me a homework blog. Thanksgiving or Things that make me puke. I choose the puke topic.

  1. Saurkraut
  2. Mushrooms
  3. Things that spin
  4. Poop
  5. Other people puking
  6. Guys who get off on girls who like to be spit on
  7. The color brown
  8. People who think I need to smile more
  9. People who think they know whats best for me (not the ones who are sincerely trying to help. the ones who think it is their DUTY to make you a better person.)
  10. Biting into onion and tomato chunks in chili, spaghetti, goulash, or any pasta dish. (I usually take them out)
More to come probably . . .
