Live from New Jersy!
I worked on Thanksgiving day, which was an amazing day since they catered dinner from Sirloin Stockade, and I didn't have to take any calls. Also, for Thanksgiving dinner with friends, I ended up taking some advice that left me with a rotten turkey. So we got some rotisserie chicken instead. It tasted amazing, and I didn't have to cook, LOL. Well, I did cook some pumpkin bread and biscuits and crossiants and deviled eggs, which were delicious.
For a Christmas/birthday present, Sean and I went to New Jersey and New York City to visit his mom. I am having a wonderful time. Our vacation was supposed to be over on the 20th, but because of the weather that day, our flight was canceled and rescheduled for Dec 25th. So we will be spending part of Christmas with Sean's mom, and part on an airplane.
I did have an amazing time in NYC. We saw Avenue Q, Times and Herald Square, and the Statue of Liberty. We also went to the 86th floor of the Empire State building, on a sightseeing cruise, through the American Museum of Natural History, and through the Museum of Modern Art.
The plane ride was wonderful, although from Cincinnati to Newark was terrible only because I had a migraine. I love riding the buses in NY/NJ, and the subways were also fun as well. And by fun I mean bumping into random strangers, or standing while zooming along a one tracked vehicle... The boat ride was pleasant while I was inside, but it was freaking cold outside, not to mention atop the Empire State building.
The food was amazing!! I love the pizza so much. The slices I got were twice as big as the pieces around Kansas, and the cheese tastes soo good.
